Your Letters and Calls are Needed The Medicare Modernization Act significantly cut reimbursement for essential services for cancer care. The massive cuts went into effect on January 1st. The cuts cause most treatments for breast, colon, lung, ovarian, and other cancers to be reimbursed below cost. In many instances, cancer clinics have been unable to provide treatment to some of these patients. Bill #2340—The Community Cancer Care Preservation Act, if passed, will fix many of these problems. Call your member of the Senate today and ask them to co-sponsor #2340. (Call 202-224-3121) |
