According to the Wash for Life website www.washforlife.org  there were 2892 people involved and 5985 cars washed.  The total money collected for local centers to date is $82,217.49.  The plan is to make this an annual event.

Even though we found out about this event only 9 days before it took place we thought it was a good idea and something we certainly could do.  We found a good place, Progressive Savings Bank, and started promoting the event.  We washed approximately 100 cars between 9:00 and 2:00 and had about 50 people who came out and helped. 

Our event raised the most money in the country, by far - $6500! Second was $2170. This is thanks to a number of financial sponsors, in addition to the donations at the car wash itself.
