Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters:
Greetings from chilly Asuncion, Paraguay! Yes, we actually have cold weather
here and, as I write this email, we have our fireplace burning brightly (it is
wintertime for us). We hope this finds you in the blessing and nurture of our
Lord Jesus Christ. We have a lot of exciting news and hope that you will
continue
to pray for us and the work in Asuncion.

Above is the address of our newly rented building!! After months of searching and praying, we are proud to announce that we have rented a building and it is everything we were looking for. It has office space, classroom space, a large room that can hold 250+, and is easily accessible. As you can see from the attachment it needs a lot of work, but we are excited and ready to put it to use. We are in the middle of a large remodeling project that, Lord willing, should be complete by September.
This is the date of our inaugural service and it will be here before we know it! We know some of you have expressed interest in coming for this day and if you are, we encourage you to begin making plans now. You will need a U.S. Passport and Paraguayan visa to enter the country. Please let us know, so we can help you and pray for you. Don't be shy-we can put you to work for the Lord!
On May 28, Enoch Rinks' family arrived for a 10-day visit and on June 5, my parents, Tim and Beth Fry, arrived for about a week. It was the first time for our families to see and experience all that they had heard from us. They ate Paraguayan food, visited local congregations, met many of our friends and contacts, and even took a Spanish class with our professors! Personally, it meant so much to have my parents here. You may think that we have sacrificed a lot to be so far from our families, but I think God has blessed us through this experience to be even closer with them. Now, every time we talk or get to see each other, we know that it is a special time and we take advantage of it. I may not have realized that before.
1. Visas: We are still waiting for our papers to be fully processed. We have completed all the paper work and the Immigration Office has finally accepted everything. Now, we are waiting for them to process it all. We continue to live legally on a piece of paper that has to be stamped every 3 months. Please continue to pray that everything will be processed soon.
2. Building: The building is far from ready. Please pray that it will be finished by September and that it will be used efficiently and productively for the Kingdom. Also, please pray for Jose, our architect, that he will be blessed as he works with us. He has helped us so much already and we were blessed that he was already a friend.
3. Inaugural Service: Please begin praying now as we formally kick off the work in September. Pray that many will be come to hear the Word of the Lord and that we can be used by God to bring many to Him.
Again, thank you for praying for us both at home and at services. It means so much to us. Each day, we are learning more, growing more, and becoming more accustomed to our new home. This is a blessing from God and an answer to prayers offered by many of you. So, again, thank you.
Because He Lives,
Chris and Vickie Fry
