Photos of inaugural service, Sept 5, 2004, in rented building

| Dear Friends and Supporters: The Asuncion Iglesia de Cristo officially started off with a powerful inaugural service this past Sunday.Thank you for your many prayers and words of encouragement--God truly blessed this day! The building was completed just in time to house 171 attendees! The owner entered before services to see the building for the first time since the reparations started and said, "This building is truly a miracle! I never imagined it would look this good!" But the building was just an added bonus as Ethan lead us in a powerful worship service, Enoch guided our thoughts centered on Jesus for the Lord's Supper, and Chris gave a spirited lesson on the supremacy of Christ. And all in excellent Spanish! Also, Paraguayan Christians were involved leading prayers while Argentine missionary Glen Henton directed our thoughts for the offering. After the services, Ethan presented our vision for the work while Savannah, Tenn. youth minister Chuck Morris and Paraguayan teenagers presented a Bible story using puppets to over 60 children. A reception followed--complete with a giant cake and lots of food! From outside the building, it appeared that the entire building was completely full because so many stayed around visiting near the front doors after the services. And inside the building it truly was full of people, energy and enthusiasm. Nora Yegros, a member at another congregation, said through tears, "This is all just perfect! We have prayed for this for so many years and God has answered our prayers!" We were also blessed to have 11 American visitors from sponsoring congregations and other mission works in South America to help out before, during, and after the service. Ralph Ely, elder at the Linary Church of Christ, said, "What a historic day," while Terry Tollett, another elder from Linary, served as photographer, building cleaner, and support to the missionaries. The Paraguay Mission team feels so blessed to have so much support and prayers. But the real work begins now as we labor to evangelize and connect with seekers here in Asuncion. We apologize that this email is so late. This week has been very busy and, on top of that, our internet went out for half of the week. We hope and pray this finds you walking in the light of the glory of Jesus. At this end of this month, our Paraguay Profile newsletter will be dedicated totally to our inaugural service, so you will have the opportunity see pictures and read more. For now, I've attached a few pictures. Enjoy!! For the Kingdom, Chris and Vickie Fry
